SOUTHERN SKIES PARK

Public BBQ

Perched in the quiet hills of Reedy Creek, Southern Skies Park delivers one of those unexpectedly lovely vantage points over the Gold Coast that makes you wonder why more people don't know about it. The electric barbecues are positioned to make the most of the elevated outlook, though you'll want to arrive early on weekends to claim the prime spots. The playground keeps the kids entertained with proper slides and a decent sand pit, while parents can actually relax and enjoy the sweeping views. It's the sort of sweet little park that proves you don't need crowds or fanfare to find a gem – just a willingness to venture slightly off the beaten track. The peaceful setting makes it ideal for families seeking a proper outdoor lunch with a view.
